Building Financial Inclusion Through Community Action

FIRM (Financial Inclusion and Resilience Movement) is a growing community-led movement connecting organisations, institutions, researchers, and individuals across Canada who are working to strengthen financial inclusion and community resilience.

Many communities experience barriers that limit access to financial knowledge, services, opportunities, and support. At the same time, community organisations often face challenges related to capacity, sustainability, administrative burden, and access to specialised expertise. FIRM helps address these interconnected challenges through collaboration, shared learning, and collective action.

Through the Shared Services Hub, Knowledge Hub, Community of Practice, and community-led governance, FIRM helps organisations and communities build the capacity, connections, and infrastructure needed to create lasting change.

Whether you are a community organisation, financial institution, researcher, policymaker, or someone with lived experience, FIRM provides opportunities to connect, contribute, and help build a more inclusive financial future.

Join the movement. Share knowledge. Build resilience. Create change.
